A member of Celestron's Advanced telescope series, this refractor is packed with great features and excellent optics. The refractor-style telescope features a 2-inch, rack-and-pinion focuser.
CG-5 Mount
The CG-5 is equipped with Celestron's CG-5, German Equatorial mount. This has precision worm gears on both axes for extremely smooth stability. The scope also comes with a heavy-duty tripod with larger, more substantial legs offering excellent damping characteristics for more stable views. The CG-5 has a convenient latitude scale for easier alignment and can accommodate an optional polar finder scope for the ultimate in precision alignments.
