Q1: If I buy #541AC Adapter will I also be able to power up my ETX-90EC directly from a 12VDC automobile battery?
A: Yes, the #541 AC Adapter for ETX-90 ETX-105 ETX-125 - Doubles as both AC and DC
Q2: Hello: Wonder if the 541 Ac adapter will work with a Meade LX50... and if not what will? Thanks
A: Meade tells us "there's a good chance it will work," since both deliver 12V DC current to the telescope. The LX50 has been out of production for some time, though, and the Meade folks just weren't sure.
Q3: Does the Meade #541 also work with the ETX-70AT?
A: Unfortunately, it does not. There isn't an AC adapter for the ETX-70.
Q4: Is the #541 AC adapter ok to be used on 220v electrical outlet?
A: Unfortunately, no. The #541 AC Adapter can only be used with 110/120-volt house current.
Q5: Will the #541 AC Adapter work with the LX-200 (8", non-GPS)? The front panel says it requires 18vdc. If this adapter will not work, could you suggest an appropriate adapter?
A: The #541 AC adapter works only with ETX and LX90 telescopes. For the LX200, you'll need the #547 AC Adapter. Here's the URL; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://telescopes.com/products/meade-547-ac-adapter-for-all-lx200-gpslxd55lxd75-models-18300.html.
